The 37th North American Power Symposium NAPS 2005
The deadline for the submission of papers is now extended to July 1, 2005.

Purpose
The purpose of the North American Power Symposium is to stimulate scholarly work in the field of electrical power engineering. This symposium is to be a forum where university students, their academic advisors, and practicing engineers can present the results of their work, discuss the activities of their colleagues, and publish their technical accomplishments. NAPS 2005 is co-sponsored by the Iowa State University and the IEEE Power Engineering Society.

Focus on Research Papers
NAPS 2005 will include a day and a half of sessions devoted to contributed papers. Papers on all areas of Electric Power Engineering are sought. For details regarding the topics and other information visit our NAPS website at http://powerlearn.ece.iastate.edu/NAPS/

Author Instructions
Prospective authors should submit the final camera-ready copy of their papers electronically in Microsoft Word (DOC) format for review. Papers must be no more than 8 pages in length on 8 1/2"x 11" (letter size paper) and formatted as per the IEEE PES Guidelines for Authors. Papers are to be submitted through the conference web site.

As per NAPS regulations, a statement that one of the authors will attend and present the paper must accompany papers. The deadline for full submission of papers is July 1, 2005.

Conference Location
The conference will be held at Scheman Building on the Iowa State University campus. Scheman Building has a 456-seat auditorium and spacious meeting rooms, as well as full service on-site catering services. Arrangements have been made with local hotels which are close to the university. Rooms are also available at Memorial Union which is inside the campus.
